NYSS - An Abortion of New York Sports Journalism

I would love to hear what everyone has to say. I thought it was because there was a lack of a ground game, but even when T Jones gains over 100 yds, we still lose. Our defense wasn't even that bad either. Is it coaching or lack thereof? Special teams? Pass protection? QB decision making? TE play?

inability to "finish' - a trait too common to ny teams lately.
either an emotional or a physical letdown at the end
here is what Kris, a member of NYsportSpace Myspace page said about this:

Here are the reasons why the Jets suck right now:

1) Did not land a premiere free agent defensive player like Adalius Thomas or a good run stuffer.

2) Defensive backs giving up too much yardage.

3) Offensive line is horrible, trading Pete Kendall was a mistake.

4) Thomas Jones IS the right guy for this team...but at the wrong time...(see #3).

5) No real explosive players on offense.

6) Pennington is starting to slide.

7) Way harder schedule.

8) Teams have "caught-on" to the Jets way of playing.

9) D'Brickashaw is quicky becoming D'Bustashaw.

10) Hardly any sacks, interceptions, or turnovers.
Yeah, all of the above PLUS:

1) Justin McCareins can't catch (um, thanks for noticing, btw)

2) Mike Tanenbaum thought it was more important to lowball Pete Kendall than to have a really decent offensive line.

3) Jericho Cotchery had a bit of a letdown...

4) Good ol' Laveranues has been hurt most of the season

5) Defensive personnel didn't fit 3-4
OR
WOULD NOT fit the 3-4
BUT
This guy from Michigan is an ANIMAL !!!

6) The Jets are tired of hearing about PROCESS and being continually QUIZZED (I know I would be).

7) Ahh, that's enough. I have big hopes for next year...(a left guard would be nice).
I don't understand it either. I had the Jets making the playoffs. They have a great young offensive line with Mangold and D-Brik and the addition of Thomas Jones should have really made them a threat with the run. I am sure alot of the finger pointing has been directed towards Noodle arm Pennington but the guy is in the top 5 in the AFC in completion %. sadly enough, things don't look to get better for the Jets as their schedule is pretty brutal. 5-11 is looking like a best case scenario
Reply to Kris...
8) Teams have "caught-on" to the Jets way of playing.

----Except for the Pittsburgh Steelers, very upsetting for me :(

10) Hardly any sacks, interceptions, or turnovers.

----Once again, yesterday...7 sacks? What happened, we were supposed to win :(
ok
