Mets Sign Jason Bay, Delay Mets Fans Misery For Now

Omar finally woke up form his annual winter hibernation to sign Jason Bay for a 4 year 64 Million dollar deal Pending a physical by the Mets celebrated medical staff. To give Omar the respect he deserves, he was patient and confident enough after initially offering Bay the deal to still secure him to a reasonable contract weeks later. To also give Omar the respect he deserves, the Mets still haven't made the playoffs since 2006 and continuously choke every year.

I was a fan of the Mets signing Bay ever since he ended my fantasy baseball season at the end of last year. He can hit bombs and produce runs. I imagine he will hit 4th in the Mets lineup that pending health and David Wright snapping out of last years campaign - looks to be relatively formidable. If the Mets can sign a pitcher and tie up a few other loose ends then I will be comfortable with this years off season. Bay's career Stats
