The folks over at TheJetsBlog wrote an article where they talk about "The Top 10 New Additions to the Jets Who Should Have the Biggest Impact". When I saw this I wondered two things:
1) People besides me are actually talking about the Jets this offseason.
2) I will most likely disagree with 8 of the 10 additions they wrote about.
Oliver Perez continued to pulverize the Yankees only giving up 1 earned run and WALKING NO ONE in the series finale on Sunday.
I was confident that our pitching would improve once Rick Peterson and his space cadet pitching strategies hit the road. Dan Warthen is a lot more tangible with his instruction as opposed to Petersen who would go on an on with ridiculous metaph… Continue

Considering that the Knicks new coach requires it, and the Knicks haven't had one since Doc Rivers, it is critical that we draft a Point Guard this year. Most of the draft experts agree with this notion. Here is a look at the strengths and weaknesses of the two that will most likely be around when the Knicks have to make their selection.

We all know Mr. Met don't fuck around and recently someone put this to the test as a Shea Stadium drunkard decided that it was ok to try to strong arm the big headed fan favorite. According to the always reliable New York Post
"At a recent game, the drunken fan manhandled the Amazin's smiling, giant-baseball-headed mascot, police said. He also allegedly knocked down kids and took a swing at a security guard."
How can it be that the Amazins drop 4 to the Padres? We're now what? 7.5 games back? That's because not only have the Mets lost their ability to play well, the Phillies continue to do everything right, beating the teams they need to beat in order to bury every team in the NL East. You know they're going to maul the Marlins Tuesday and bury them next. As for the Mets, they're burie… Continue

The Yankees, fumbling around in last place, announced during last nights game that they will begin the reliever-to-starter transition for Joba Chamberlain.

This is horrible news and I hate to even mention it on a joke of a site like NYsportSpace but I felt that it was necessary to speak on some of the conflicting reports that I hear involving this current event.
For those who haven't heard yet this tragic story, Antonio Narainasami, 36, of Brooklyn plunged to his death traveling down the escalator last night at Shea Stadium after watching the Mets beat up the Nationals 6-0. The worst part about this was that he has two young daughters and anoth…Continue

A Message to Phillies Fans
I was ecstatic to hear Carlos Beltran's response when a reporter’s seemingly generic inquiry about Johan Santana’s effect on the team had him go off on a tangent.

The Daily News has been all over the Giants celebration these last few weeks. One person who has been taking advantage of his newfound fame and extra dough, has been RB Ahmad Bradshaw.
As I read the papers and listen to the ridiculous thing they called a congressional hearing, I asked myself time and time again, WHAT THE HELL IS THIS ??????????? How possibly could people believe this guy and also who would want to watch baseball again now that they know most people have cheated and no one really knows who we can trust in the game we call " America's Past time.

The New York Football Giants have shocked the nation this season as they advance to the Super Bowl. So the Mitchell Report has rocked the sports scene but it will have little if any impact on the business side of MLB from this point out. I have always agreed with the popular slogan "bad publicity is still publicity" and if anything, MLB revenues will surely break more fiscal records in '08.
