The Mets PR department is being real shady with our guy Carlos Beltran these days. First they call his injury problems nothing more then having "sore knees." Things got a little more unscrupulous after that.
He goes on the 15 day DL. First impression - Ok, he's a little dinged up let's give him a few weeks off.
Omar Minaya "If we get him back for the se… Continue

My hockey team is the NY Islanders. They are not good. They haven't been good since I was born. They have an opportunity on Friday to draft a franchise player in Canadian John Tavares. He scored an astounding 73 goals in the Juniors last year and is being compared/scrutinized to other… Continue

If I were to tell you that your favorite basketball team could have an athletic 6'11" PF/C that averaged 18 points, 11 re-boards, and 2 blocks
in the third best NCAA conference, would that be something you'd be interested in? Fuck yeah you would.
Arizona Wildcat Jordan Hill walked confidently towards the podium to accepts his Knicks hat and shake David Stern's hand as the drunkard Knicks fans rained boos on him l… Continue

Gettzooks is a new social networking platform that came into fruition, mainly due to the interest so many people showed in the “My Music Ticket” fiasco.
Getzooks uses the basic web 2.0 concept of helping others and in turn helping yourself. In fact with what is going to be available with the software you could likely say that Getzooks is a for runner to where marketing Web 3.0 is going to take us.
Portions of the money generated by Getzooks will go towards helping people in the world less fortun… Continue

Throughout Carlos Beltran's career in New York, the fans and media have always called for him to be more of a visible leader. To be more vocal when the team needs a swift "kick in the ass." He has done just that (or at least tried to) by trading verbal blows with Jimmy Rollins… Continue
I recall the day when Omar Minaya signed Gary Sheffield to a measly one year, $400,000 dollar contract. To the traditional hater Mets fan, it was like signing Bobby Bonilla, Mo Vaughn, or… Continue

NY Sport Space has some friends in high places. So high that its fairly easy to acquire some EXCLUSIVE photos of Melky Cabrera and Robbie Cano popping bottles and making kissy faces.
Although it appears they are in a living room cavorting with these mid 20's blondies - I am almost positive that the photos below are actually in a private VIP room in a club somewhere in Manhattan. My Hoboken comrades have also told me that they have seen the Dynamic Duo partying it up till the wee hours, mostly l… Continue

A buddy of mine, Scott Goldfarb, was on the MTV reality show "A Double Shot of Love" a few months back. As a result of that, he frequently gets invited to participate in such odd events as "Celebrity Boxing 8". So I traveled down to Philadelphia to a watch him take on this dude Rob Maaddi (an AP sports writer) in some random suburban World Gym.
Let me tell ya, it is extremely invigorating to watch one of your friends box, especially against someone who probably roots for the… Continue

For those of you who were too busy either watching Two and Half Men or the Yankees getting demolished on Monday night there happened to be a Mets game on too. Opening night at Citi Field had plenty of memorable moments. From Jody Gerut hitting a home run in the first at bat, to Mike Pelfrey falling off the mound, to David Wright tying it up causing the Apple to get raised there was more than enough action to entertain even the most bandwagon riding fan.
But what I think the w… Continue
