A new low for the Amazins

How can it be that the Amazins drop 4 to the Padres? We're now what? 7.5 games back? That's because not only have the Mets lost their ability to play well, the Phillies continue to do everything right, beating the teams they need to beat in order to bury every team in the NL East. You know they're going to maul the Marlins Tuesday and bury them next. As for the Mets, they're buried, and they have themselves to blame. If you loose 4 straight to a team that's ten games under .500, you've obviously lost your desire to win and there's trouble in River City.
What will the Mets do from here? Well, if history is any indication of what's to come, then the Mets will win the series with the 1st place D-Backs, causing us all to scratch our heads and wonder why they could get up for them and not the last place Padres. Thus giving us another week of hope, only to stink up Shea against the Rangers. See the pattern here? But you didn't need me to point this out. Met fans have known this for eons. We live and die with them -- lately we've been doing a lot of dying.

Can't blame pitching for the Mets resent decent here folks, unless you're talking the bull pen, but the starters are doing their job. Aaron Heilman is gonna give me a heart attack for sure, if Willie doesn't kill me first.
