Mr. Met Will Fight You If Necessary

We all know Mr. Met don't fuck around and recently someone put this to the test as a Shea Stadium drunkard decided that it was ok to try to strong arm the big headed fan favorite. According to the always reliable New York Post

"At a recent game, the drunken fan manhandled the Amazin's smiling, giant-baseball-headed mascot, police said. He also allegedly knocked down kids and took a swing at a security guard."

"A woman who identified herself as Hansen's girlfriend denied he had been in a confrontation with guards or Mr. Met..."It's not true," she said. "Nothing ever happened with Mr. Met."

Um Yeah, someone made that whole thing up I'm sure lady

This comes as a shock to me. No, not because some asshole was pushing kids out of the way so he could gallivant with a mascot, but because Mr. Met would actually allow this. I was fortunate enough to take a picture with Mr. Met one time and I thought it would be funny if I pinched his little big seams on his cheek in attempt to get this act on film. But the person operating my camera was an idiot and didnt take the picture successfully. Mr. Met, also displeased with this gesture, gave me a swift slap to the back of the head, which kinda hurt, considering his hand is FUCKIN ENORMOUS. Good times though.
