Jets Look Into Acquiring Plaxico So He Can Help Mark Sanchez Get Acclimated to NYC Latin Culture

The always proficient Newark Star Ledger has reported that the Jets GM Mike Tannenbaum has reached out to agent Drew Rosenhaus regarding how Plaxico Burress' legal issues are panning out.

For those of you who accidentally landed on this site thinking it was a free porn site, Plaxico shot himself in the leg at a NYC club called Latin Quarters a few months ago which abruptly ended his employment with the NY Giants.

The writer of the Star-Ledger article doesn't see Plax signing with Gang Green (Which I vehemently agree with). He thinks that Rosenhaus leaked this to ESPN in an effort get back at the Jets organization for drafting RB Shonn Greene. Remember Rosenhaus' client Thomas Jones, is holding out and wants a new contract. Rosenhaus wanted to make the Jets look bad for inquiring about Burress knowing the uproar it would create. I personally think that he is just using the typical sports agent tactic of creating a demand for his prison bound client by reporting that a team has interest in him.

But the Jets didn't take a WR in the draft even though Laverneous Coles left and they clearly have a need at that position. Perhaps it is because Rex Ryan wants the young wideouts, Brad Smith and David Clowney to step it up. But the real proof is in the pudding my friends.

So the Jets just drafted Mark Sanchez, a Mexican-American. Plaxico frequents the Latin club circuit as evidenced by his attendance at the club where he shot himself, Latin Quarters. Which is commonly known as LQ (I spent New Years Eve 2001 there and danced like a drunk white person all night). I think it is safe to say that Tannenbaum wants Plax, the receiver Sanchez would throw to most often, to get him acclimated with the Latin scene so that he can feel comfortable with New York culture. Fuckin d'uh. This makes more sense then a Times Square vagrant makes on a good day.
