This Week's Picture - "Number 42" (in progress) 2011, 36"x24" acrylic on canvas.
I know I've been a disaster as far as getting these things written and posted, but the last few months have been a little hectic, what with moving to a new city and starting a new day job while still scrambling to get some stage time and artwork done.
Which is why I'm very happy to say that, starting Tues the 5th, I'll finally be on a regular weekly schedule and be able to consistently pump these li'l Yankee yuckfests out, but also finally get back to producing my beloved podcast, which all of you out there with ears should give a listen to.
So, in the meantime, before I run off to tend another 12 hours of bar so I can have the rent by Friday (SHOW BUSINESS!), I leave you with my latest finished painting of The Single Greatest Closer Of All Time, Mariano Rivera. Frankly, I think it's pretty damn awesome. It's probably my favorite thing I've done. It's already been sold, but I am accepting commissions.
Another thing that's pretty damn awesome is the Yankees a game and a half in first with the second best record in baseball. Enjoy the hell out of that this week. Enjoy getting drunk and blowing shit up this holiday weekend, and we'll all meet back here on Tuesday nursing massive hangovers and, hopefully, laughing about the massive wedgies, noogies, and Indian burns the Bombers give their crosstown rivals this weekend.
So, just stay alive until Tuesday, and whatever occurs, this column will find you!!!
