The Jets Are Not Getting Pacman Jones

So the typically legitimate somewhat valid news sources NY Post and Pro Football Talk have reported that the Jets are interested in the rainmaking cornerback Adam "Pacman" Jones.

So why would the Jets be interested in the biggest primadonna liability in the NFL, when they just signed Pro Bowl D-Back Lito Sheppard and already have Darrelle Revis. Well they're not, If you read the fine print.

The news sources that I listed above all link to the same story - the one seen here from NFL Fanhouse. Calvin Watkins is listed as the person who broke this rumor. He works at the Dallas News and seems legitimate.

Watkins said that the Jets have expressed interest, "according to someone close to Jones". Hmmm let's think about what a person close to Pacman might be like. Pretty much any person he is involved with has zero credibility. They are probable less credible than the guy from Nigeria who wants you to lend him 5 grand because his assets are tied up in various pork based apparel investments. So it is tough to think that you would hear about it from someone who isn't an agent.

The Jets reportedly did confirm that they are NOT interested in the overrated underachiever.
