Do you think if Strahan retires it will have a big impact on the Giants?
"My inside tells me that Strahan played his last game with the New York Giants as a champion and that's not a bad way to go out... He has been in this league 15 years and his credentials speak for themselves. The only thing he would come back for now is to keep living and to build on top of that...Fifteen years in this business is tough and to walk away healthy after last season is all you can ask."
When asked if that there was anything that could possibly sway his teammates decision Pierce said..."Money talks. Maybe a $2 million signing bonus or something."
The Giants should be alright either way but if its gonna cost 2 million to get him back for one more run that then Big Blue would probably go for it

i doubt he leaves. This is just another stunt to either get more money or not have to go to training camp. In the event that he does decide to retire the Giants won't skip a beat defensively. Justin Tuck will finally work his way into the starting rotation at DE with Tollefson and Henderson backing up the ends. i doubt Kiwanuka moves back over to end after one year at Linebacker. The one area where it might hurt us is when Spags likes to put in the 4 aces on passing downs. If I was to guess what we would do for passing downs, I would say the have Osi and Tollefson as the ends and run Kiwi and Tuck up the middle unless they want to go with someone like Alford at tackle. Alford is somewhat lacking in run defense but he has a great first step which sets him apart from Cofeild and Robbins as far as pass defense goes.
No matter what happens with Strahan, opposing qbs are going to be in some serious, serious trouble
